Jared Hungenberg is in his first season as an assistant golf coach with the Northern Colorado men's golf program. Hungenberg played two seasons of golf at Northern Colorado after transferring from Colorado Christian. As a junior (2003-04), he played in four events and had a scoring average of 78.8. His best finish was 15th at the UNC Invitational at Pelican Lakes. As a senior, he finished 27th overall at the Northern Colorado Invite. Hungenberg was a prep athlete at Eaton High School, where he was a three-time all-conference selection and helped his team to a regional championship. Hungenberg completed in degree in business at Northern Colorado in 2005. His cousin Emily is currently an assistant coach with the Northern Colorado women's golf program. Career Highlights
2004-05: Played in one event during the season ... placed 27th overall (+19) at the Northern Colorado Invitational, shooting rounds of 75, 82 and 78. 2003-04: Competed in four events, playing 11 rounds for the Bears and finishing with a scoring average of 78.8 ... best finish was 15th (152, +10) at the UNC Invitational ... shot a low-round of 76 on three different occasions, at the DU Ron Moore Classic and during both rounds of the UNC Invitational.
