Prep: All-around multi-sport star athlete at Greeley West High School ... played not only soccer and basketball but volleyball and tennis as well ... was a finalist for the prestigious Fred Steinmark High School Athlete of the Year award, given to the state's top prep athlete who has competed in at least two high school sports, earned at least one all-state honor, has at least a 3.0 GPA and shows excellence in athletics, academics and citizenship ... on the soccer pitch, earned first-team 4A all-state honors as a senior after scoring 11 goals and adding 18 assists for the Spartans; that included a trio of games (vs. Berthoud, Fort Morgan and Fort Lupton) where she had four assists apiece ... had 10 goals and 11 assists as a junior in 2005 ... Greeley West finished 2006 11-7 overall, was undefeated (7-0) in the Northern Conference for the fourth year in a row and advanced to the state's Elite 8 ... team was 16-2-1 in 2005 and lost in the state semifinals, 16-2-1 in 2004 and defeated Broomfield 2-1 to win the 4A state title and 19-1 in 2003 and 4A state champions ... team was a perfect 31-0 in conference matches during her career ... played club soccer with the Bootleggers Soccer Club under former Northern Colorado assistant coach Ryan Jordan ... in basketball, was a three-time all-state selection and team captain, two-time team MVP and helped Greeley West to a state runner-up finish in 2005 ... with volleyball, she was a two-time team captain, four-year letterwinner and two-time all-league pick ... on the tennis court, she was a all-league selection and a state qualifier at No. 3 singles ... in the classroom she graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA ... was a member of the National Honor Society, President of both the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the Key Club, an AIMS Math and Science Award winner and was named her school's prom queen.
Personal: Born Sept. 19, 1987, in Greeley ... daughter of Bruce and Josie Hemmings ... her mother was a Hall of Fame volleyball player and her sister Taryn plays soccer at Denver ... has three sisters ... her aunt Lisa Hall also played volleyball at Northern Colorado while another aunt, Susan Payne, played basketball at Northern Colorado ... she is currently undecided on a college major.
